VDP.Erste Lage: Bingerbrücker Abtei
A site with a total of 11 hectares, of which more than half lies fallow. Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 2.5 hectares here. Additional areas will be planted over the next few years.
With an 80 percent gradient, it is the steepest vineyard in our winery – and it is also the oldest. The oldest vines date back to 1937.
The Abtei site was the vineyard belonging to the Benedictine Ruppertsberg cloister, which was founded by Hildegard von Bingen.

VDP.Erste Lage: Münsterer Pittersberg
A site measuring a total of 10 hectares, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 9 hectares.
Some of the vines are up to 70 years old. The Pittersberg site is planted exclusively with Riesling.
The Münsterer Pittersberg Riesling Premier Cru dry is Stefan Rumpf’s favorite wine.

VDP.Erste Lage Münsterer Rheinberg
This site has a total of 7.5 hectares, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 5 hectares.
In 2013, we planted terraced vineyards in a 2-hectare area there. This is normally where our sheep graze.
Although the name suggests otherwise, the Münsterer Rheinberg is not on the Rhine. But if you climb the Rheinberg and stand on its peak, you can see the Rhine less than two kilometers away.

VDP.Erste Lage Münsterer Kapellenberg
A 41-hectare site, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 7 hectares.
This site is very heterogeneous, ranging from decent to outstanding quality.
In the middle of Kapellenberg are two VDP.Grand Cru sites: Dautenpflänzer and Langenberg.
The vines, some of them over 40 years old, that produce our best Burgundies are found in the VDP.Premier Cru Kapellenberg.

VDP.Grand Crus: Im Pitterberg
This 2.5-hectare monopole is cultivated exclusively by Weingut Kruger-Rumpf.
The oldest vines in our monopole are over 70 years old.

VDP.Grand Crus: Dautenpflänzer
A 4.5-hectare site, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 1.7 hectares.
This site is shaped like an amphitheater, and is probably the warmest site along the Nahe. Not only do we plant Riesling here, but the site is also home to our more than 50-year-old Scheurebe vines.

VDP.Grand Crus: Scharlachberg
This site totals 25 hectares, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 3 hectares.
It is very warm there, and it is our only site in the Rheinhessen wine-growing region.
Until World War II, Scharlachberg was one of the five best-known and most renowned wine locations in Germany. In recent years, wines from the Scharlachberg region have once again managed to approach their former glory.

VDP.Grand Crus: Burgberg
A 4.8-hectare site, of which Weingut Kruger-Rumpf cultivates 1.5 hectares.
Until the 1920s, a tunnel carved into the cliffs of Burgberg Mountain served as a wine cellar. This cellar is still owned by Weingut Kruger-Rumpf.
In recent years, the site has had a huge renaissance, because well-known wine critics consider Burgberg wines among the best Rieslings in the world.
